The Metropolitan Plan for Sydney 2036, released by Premier Kristina Keneally on 16th December 2010 is the NSW Government's key urban planning document shaping Sydney's future growth.
This launch coincided with the release on the internet for public view on the same day.
The Metropolitan Plan for Sydney 2036 website was required to:
- Promote the Metropolitan Plan as the long-term strategic plan for Greater Metropolitan Sydney to 2036.
- Provide online resources and easy access to the planning policy actions.
- Be built and delivered in DotNetNuke content management platform requiring flash and video content.
- Be comprehensive, whilst being simple and effective to navigate, with a unique and fresh Sydney feel.
Loaded Technologies custom designed and built the website look and feel whilst still embracing the NSW Government design guidelines.
Flash was used to showcase video vox pops of Sydneysiders expressing their views, explanatory comment by Departmental staff , interspersed with footage from some of Sydney’s iconic events, attractions and lifestyle benefits.
When the Metropolitan Plan for Sydney 2036 was unveiled by Premier Kristina Keneally , it received wide media coverage with articles on the Sydney Morning Herald and Daily Telegraph, and other online media websites, as well as Kristina Keneally’s Twitter feed on the day of the launch.
